Taking Time to Digest Good Words

Happy Friday, everyone! Before I share the “Quote of the Week” for this week, I just wanted to let you know that you can check out what I’m reading if you click on my dropdown menu and then click on “See What I’m Reading.” That link brings you to my GoodReads profile where you can see what I’m reading, follow me, or add me as a friend. I’d love to connect with you on there; it’s been a great resource for me to find new books to read that I maybe never would have otherwise heard about.

I continue to work my way through Michael A. Singer’s book The Untethered Soul. Last week’s quote was also from this book, and I have found that I cannot (and actually do not want) to read through it quickly. It seems like every other sentence is one I want to remember; he has so many things to say that I need to give myself time to digest. I actually ended up buying my own copy of the book so I could go through it at whatever pace I like, instead of having to return it to the library and hop back in the very long line of people who have placed a hold on it. I think it’s safe to say that this book is speaking to people.

The quote I want to share today hit me hard, and I hope it stirs something in you as well.

“The world is unfolding and really has very little to do with you or your thoughts. It was here long before you came, and it will be here long after you leave. In the name of attempting to hold the world together, you’re really just trying to hold yourself together.”

Show yourself love today,
Sonja K.
